Features of Free Edition

The description of the free edition includes several features that are not available:

1) There is no oscilloscope display.

2) there is no waveform display.

3) Only a single slider is available, as opposed the many seen in the picture and spoken about. There is no way to manipulate the dropdown that would enable more sliders. You're only allowed one.

It's a good program, I can see that, but I don't see the point of describing features in the free version that you're obviously trying to restrict to owners of the paid version. Frankly, it's not very good psychology.

Re: Features of Free Edition

Hi Lori,

The Free Edition does have the oscilloscope and waveform display. To see it, click on "Waveform" in the View Menu, or press Ctrl-F3. The waveform and oscilloscope display are actually the same. The oscilloscope is simply the waveform zoomed in very far:

You are right, there is a maximum of one overtone slider in the Free Edition. The control to change the number of sliders lets you choose between one slider, or no sliders at all. The edition comparison does state that the Free Edition has only one slider, and the description of the free edition only uses screenshots of that actual edition. We are working towards labelling edition differences more clearly throughout the rest of this site and the documentation. Hopefully this will avoid raising false expectations.
