Hi everyone,
I just joined the Forum and hope will get some good advice from here.
I listen to music mainly on stereo and enjoy the very few low frequency notes (organ etc) in some of my CDs/SACDs/DVD-As.
I would like to identify some particular low note frequencies and wondered how I could do so with the Free Edition.

Re: Identifying low note frequencies
Hi,
You can use the Free Edition to analyze low frequency notes, although you will get more details with the Live or Premium edition, especially in the lower frequency ranges.
Please note that Overtone Analyzer cannot read directly from CD on DVD. However, you can play your CD on your computer and in Overtone Analyzer select your recording source to be "Stereo Mix".
Best regards,
Bodo
Re: Identifying low note frequencies
1. Thank you for the information, but I have not yet been able to do what I want-I will perserver.
2. Recording advice is that the input level is not set too high to avoid clipping. How could the software detect the highest dynamic within a track (approx 3 min) quickly without sitting and looking at the recording process for the whole 3 min? Then set the record level from the info so it will not clip?
