Does anyone else get the message from Norton 360 that the 1.5.1 install is infected, and the install file is automatically removed?
The message is: File Insight. setupovertoneanalyzerlive1.5.1.exe (WS.Reputation.1)
The Insight Network Threat has been removed.

Re: 1.5.1 Virus?
Hi David,
This is probably a false positive. From time to time some virus scanners give warnings about Overtone Analyzer. In all cases so far these warnings have been false alerts.
I just scanned the installer and the executable with virustotal.com. This is a website that allows you to upload a file and have it scanned by all major (and minor) virus scanners. Both files came out clean.
You can see the results here:
Virustotal.com scan of setupOvertoneAnalyzerLive1.5.1.exe
Virustotal.com scan of Overtone Analyzer Live 1.5.1 executable
This means that either your virus scanner gave you a false positive, or a warning that indicates that the virus scanner simply is not sure about the file.
Or that your local file has been infected by a virus on your computer.
I suggest that you check your local file with virustotal.com to make sure it is clean.
Best wishes,
Bodo
Re: 1.5.1 Virus?
I just checked with Symantec and it is their virus software assuming the file is a threat when it is in fact not a threat. I removed the download from quarantine and ran the install without any problems. Thanks.
Re: 1.5.1 Virus?
It seems that Norton 360 currently has a feature (a bug?) that overambitiously quarantines a lot of files. Here is a thread about this on norton's website:

Re: 1.5.1 Virus?
Hi David,
I just released version 1.5.2, which is now digitally signed. Could you check if this makes any difference to what Norton 360 says about it?
Re: 1.5.1 Virus?
Norton Insight still flagged it and deleted it. The workaround:
Inside Norton 360, go to Tasks, then View Security History, find the logged security event, then perfrom "restore" on the exe file that was deleted, then the install file will work when you double-click on it.
