You have a choice between a large list of standard MIDI instruments, and between a sine wave generator that plays pure sine waves:\n      <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"figure\">\n<a name=\"id-1.6.4.5.3.2.3.1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"figure-contents\">\n<div class=\"mediaobject\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/en\/audio-settings\/MIDI-Instruments-en.png\" alt=\"Piano and Overtone Instruments\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"title\"><b>Figure\u00a03.29.\u00a0Piano and Overtone Instruments<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"figure-break\">\n      <\/p>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h5 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-64-SineWaveGenerator\"><\/a>Sine Wave Generator<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n          The first entry in the list, with the label <span class=\"guilabel\">Pure Sine Wave<\/span>, uses a tone generator that plays pure sine waves with high accuracy.\n        <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h5 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-64-MIDIInstruments\"><\/a>MIDI Instruments<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n          All other entries use the standard<br \/>\n          MIDI instruments, and their sound depends on the quality of your<br \/>\n          sound card or of your connected keyboard. Their volume is controlled by the MIDI Volume<br \/>\n          slider.\n        <\/p>\n<p>The frequency of the MIDI Instruments may be less accurate than that of the sine wave generator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-1.6.4.5.3.3\"><\/a>MIDI Volume<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This volume affects all sounds that are played through the MIDI Output device when playing piano keys or note sliders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-1.6.4.5.3.4\"><\/a>Master Volume<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This slider affects the playback volume for all other sound output, including playing recorded audio content.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-64-RecordingVolume_1\"><\/a>Loop playback<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>If this option is checked, playback of the current file or selection will be repeated in a loop. Otherwise, playback will stop when it reaches the end of the current selection or file.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-1.6.4.5.4\"><\/a>Devices<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-65-WaveOutputDevice\"><\/a>Wave Output Device<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This is the device for playing back the recorded sound.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-65-MidiOutputDevice\"><\/a>Midi Output Device<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n        This is the device for playing the sounds from the piano keyboard and the<br \/>\n        overtones (except for the &#8220;Pure Sine Wave&#8221; overtone sound, which is<br \/>\n        played through the wave output device).\n      <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-65-MidiInputDevice\"><\/a>Midi Input Device<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n        If you have connected an external Midi keyboard, you can select it as input source here.
